Delivering Low Cost Data - Text - GPS Between Vessels and Shore Anywhere on Earth over Iridium Satellites
Datalink's OceanLink.live over Iridium satellites provides shore based offices and home based computers, tablets, and smart-phones with a low cost link to Lars Thrane LT-3100/S terminals. OceanLink works with other DataGate compatible systems equipped on ocean going vessels providing GPS tracking and private crew text messaging.

The IMO’s Maritime Safety Committee (MSC) has approved Iridium as a provider of GMDSS satellite services. In early 2020, these GMDSS services, hereunder: Distress Alert, Safety Voice, and Maritime Safety Information (MSI) will be available via the LT-3100S GMDSS system, a terminal developed by Lars Thrane A/S.

Fishing Boundary Compliance Monitoring
OceanLink software allows for geo-zoned commercial fishing boundaries to be created and monitored for violations. Fishing Boats must be equipped with Lars Thrane LT-3100L /S system or other GPS reporting hardware compatible with Datalink's OceanLink platform.
If an LT-3100 / S is not installed Datalink recommends the Iridium GO with fixed installation kit.
Fishing Catch Reporting
Where government regulations limit catch stock and volume, OceanLink can link to on-board reporting apps such as Vericatch’s FisheriesApp. Reports are processed and sent over Iridium Satellites to land based host programs.

Personal Safety on Board
When it comes to personal safety at sea, the Garmin InReach should always be at hand. Whether you are on a sailboat or large trawler, if you go overboard or become sick or injured, a press of the SOS button brings aid.
Seafarers in distress simply press the SOS button, and the Garmin InReach alerts with personal ID and GPS location appearing on monitoring desks in seconds routed over Iridium satellites. Alerts can be automatically relayed to emergency response teams and on-board personnel within seconds.

Iridium Go
The Iridium GO Wi-Fi Hot-Spot is accessed from your Laptop, Android Tablet, iPhone, iPad, or Android device over Wi-Fi. The GO enables you to use your smart device to send and receive voice calls via Iridium's satellite constellation, as well as text messages, even if your device is for WiFi use only. GPS location information is also sent directly from the Iridium GO. A fixed installation kit is available.
